Music & Set List

How to manage song selections and music cues for the DJ or band.

The Music tab in the Day-of Hub is where you manage song selections mapped to moments throughout the day. It gives the DJ or band a clear set list organized by cue — processional, first dance, last dance, and everything in between.

Adding Songs

Click + Add song in the toolbar. Each entry has:

  • Title (required) — the song name, like "Can't Help Falling in Love"
  • Category (required) — the moment or cue it belongs to. Pick from suggestions or type your own
  • Description (optional) — notes like "acoustic version," "start at chorus," or "backup option: At Last by Etta James"

You can also quick-add to a specific category by clicking the + button on any category header.

Default Categories

Gilded starts you with common music cues: Processional, Recessional, First Dance, Parent Dances, Grand Entrance, Cake Cutting, Bouquet Toss, Last Dance, and Do Not Play. Create your own by typing a new category name when adding a song.

The Do Not Play List

Use the Do Not Play category for songs the couple wants to avoid. This is just as important as the playlist — DJs and bands appreciate having it upfront.

Editing and Deleting

Click the pencil icon on any song to edit it, or the trash icon to delete. On mobile, these buttons are always visible. On desktop, they appear on hover.

Reordering

Within a category, use the up/down arrows to reorder songs. To reorder entire categories, drag the category header using the grip handle on the left.

Importing a Music List

Already have a playlist or set list? Click Import in the toolbar to paste or upload it. Gilded uses AI to parse the content, match songs to the right cues, and create them in bulk. Supported file types: .txt, .csv, .md.

What the DJ or Band Sees

When you share the timeline with a DJ or band, they automatically see the music selections alongside their assigned timeline entries and key milestones. No extra setup required — it is included based on vendor type.
