Day-of Notes
How to organize emergency contacts, rain plans, dietary restrictions, and other day-of logistics.
The Notes tab in the Day-of Hub is where you collect all the logistical details that do not fit neatly into the timeline, shot list, or music tabs — emergency contacts, rain plans, dietary restrictions, transportation details, and anything else you need at your fingertips on the wedding day.
Adding Notes
Click + Add note in the toolbar. Each note has:
- Title (required) — a concise label, like "Venue emergency contact" or "Guest with severe nut allergy"
- Category (required) — the type of note. Pick from suggestions or type your own
- Description (optional) — the details: phone numbers, addresses, instructions, contingency plans
You can also quick-add to a specific category by clicking the + button on any category header.
Default Categories
Gilded starts you with common categories: Emergency Contacts, Rain Plan, Allergies & Dietary, Transportation, Accommodations, and General. Create your own by typing a new category name when adding a note.
What to Track
Common notes planners keep here:
- Emergency contacts — venue coordinator, lead vendor contacts, on-call numbers
- Rain plan — indoor backup locations, tent vendor contact, decision deadline
- Dietary restrictions — guest allergies, caterer instructions, seat assignments for guests with restrictions
- Transportation — shuttle schedules, parking details, travel time between locations
- Accommodations — hotel block info, room numbers for bridal party, checkout times
Editing and Deleting
Click the pencil icon on any note to edit it, or the trash icon to delete. On mobile, these buttons are always visible. On desktop, they appear on hover.
Reordering
Within a category, use the up/down arrows to reorder notes. To reorder entire categories, drag the category header using the grip handle on the left.
Importing Notes
Already have logistics documented somewhere? Click Import in the toolbar to paste or upload the content. Gilded uses AI to parse it, organize into categories, and create notes in bulk. Supported file types: .txt, .csv, .md.
