Sharing Timelines
How to share your wedding timeline with vendors and clients via email, SMS, or shareable links.
Once your timeline is ready, you can share it with vendors and clients. Each recipient gets a filtered view showing only the entries relevant to them, plus key milestones.
How Sharing Works
Click Share in the timeline toolbar menu. This opens a panel where you can select who to send the timeline to. Recipients can include:
- Vendors linked to the event (photographer, DJ, florist, etc.)
- Participants like the bride and groom
Select your recipients, choose whether to send via email, SMS, or both, and click Send. Each recipient gets a unique link to their personalized timeline view.
What Vendors See
When a vendor opens their shared timeline, they see:
- Entries they are assigned to
- Key milestones (ceremony, first dance, etc.) — always visible regardless of assignment
- Event details relevant to their role: photographers see the shot list, DJs see the music selections
Vendors can also leave comments on their assigned entries (see below) and export the timeline to their calendar.
What Clients See
The bride and groom each get their own filtered view showing entries assigned to them plus all milestones. Like vendors, they can comment on entries and export to their calendar.
Vendor Comments
Vendors and clients (bride and groom) can leave comments on entries in their shared timeline. This is useful for:
- Confirming arrival times
- Asking questions about locations or logistics
- Noting setup requirements
Comments are one-way — vendors write, you read. You can see all vendor comments in your timeline builder and delete any if needed. Wedding party participants have read-only access and cannot comment.
Link Expiry
Shared timeline links expire 30 days after the event date. If no event date is set, links expire 90 days after creation. Recipients see a reminder to bookmark the link in both the email and on the page itself.
Exporting and Downloading
Recipients can download a PDF of their filtered timeline or add entries to their calendar directly from the shared page. See Calendar Export for details.
Revoking Access
If you need to revoke a shared link, you can delete the share from the Share panel. The link will stop working immediately.
