PDF Downloads and Customization

Every document you create in Gilded can be downloaded as a professionally formatted PDF. The PDF matches your brand preset — same logo, colors, and fonts — so it looks polished whether your client views it online or prints it out.

How PDFs Are Generated

Gilded generates PDFs server-side using your document content and the assigned brand preset. You do not need to do anything special — the PDF is always available once a document exists.

The generated PDF includes:

• Your logo at the top of the first page
• Hero image below the logo (if your preset includes one)
• Section headings styled in your primary brand color
• Checkmark bullets that pick up your brand accent color
• Footer on every page with your tagline and business info (based on your preset's footer settings)
• Page numbers at the bottom

Previewing Before Sending

The document builder includes a Preview panel on the right side. This shows you a close approximation of what the final output looks like — headings, colors, logo placement, and section ordering all render in real time as you edit.

The preview reflects your selected brand preset. If you switch presets, the preview updates immediately.

Downloading a PDF

You can download a PDF from several places:

• Document builder — click the Download PDF button in the action bar
• Event detail page — find the document card and click the download icon
• Client-facing view — clients can download a PDF copy from their document page

For signed contracts, a separate signed PDF is available. This is the version with all signatures and initials captured during the signing process, plus an audit log PDF that records the signing timeline and details.

What Shows Up in the PDF

The PDF contains everything in your document — all sections, merge fields (resolved to their actual values), pricing tables, and the signature block for contracts. What you see in the builder preview is what ends up in the PDF.

A few things to keep in mind:

• Merge fields resolve at generation time. If you download the PDF before filling in event details, any unresolved fields will be blank.
• Brand colors carry through. Your primary color shows up in headings and dividers. Your accent color appears on bullet checkmarks and highlighted elements.
• The "Powered by Gilded" line appears in the footer on Basic plans. Pro and Team plans can turn this off in the brand preset settings.

Signed Document PDFs

After all parties have signed a contract, Gilded stores the fully executed PDF. This version includes the original document content plus all captured signatures and initials. You can download both the signed PDF and the audit log from the event detail page or the signed document view.

These files are stored securely and remain accessible from the event for as long as your account is active.
