Creating Brand Presets

How to set up brand presets with your logo, colors, fonts, and footer so every document looks like you.

Brand presets control how your documents look — your logo, color palette, typography, and footer details. You can create multiple presets and assign them to individual documents, so everything you send out reflects your brand.

Setting Up a Brand Preset

Go to Settings in the sidebar and click the Branding tab. Click New Preset to start building one.

Each preset includes:

Logo

Upload your business logo. It appears at the top of your documents in both the web preview and the generated PDF. Supported formats are PNG, JPG, and SVG. Keep it under 2MB for best results.

Colors

Set a primary color and an accent color. The primary color is used for headings, section dividers, and the overall document feel. The accent color highlights key elements like pricing callouts and CTAs. Pick colors that match your existing brand — you will see a live preview as you adjust.

Fonts

Choose a heading font and a body font from the available selections. Basic plans use the default font pairing. Pro and Team plans unlock the full font library with additional options to match your brand's typography.

Hero Image (Pro and Team)

Pro and Team plans can add a hero image that appears at the top of the document, below the logo. This is a great spot for an atmospheric photo that sets the tone — a venue shot, floral arrangement, or styled shoot image.

Footer Controls

Customize what appears in the document footer:

  • Tagline — a short line that appears at the bottom of every page
  • Business info toggles — choose whether to show your email, phone, and website in the footer
  • "Powered by Gilded" — Basic plans always show this. Pro and Team plans can hide it.

Assigning a Preset to a Document

When you are in the document builder, open the Brand Preset picker in the builder toolbar. Select which preset to apply. The document preview updates immediately so you can see how it looks.

You can also set a default preset in the Branding settings. Any new document you create will start with your default preset applied. You can always override it per document.

Managing Multiple Presets

If you run multiple brands or want different looks for proposals vs. contracts, create separate presets. Each one is independent — changing one does not affect documents using a different preset.

To edit an existing preset, go back to Settings > Branding, find the preset, and click Edit. Changes to a preset apply to future documents that use it. Documents you have already sent are not affected.

What Gets Branded

Brand presets apply to:

  • The document preview in the builder
  • The client-facing web view when they open your link
  • The generated PDF download

This means your client sees a consistent, professional presentation whether they view the document in their browser or download it as a PDF.
