Managing Your Subscription
How to upgrade, downgrade, or manage your Gilded subscription, plus founding member pricing details.
Gilded offers two plans — Basic and Pro — with straightforward monthly pricing. Here is how to manage your subscription and what to expect when making changes.

The Basic plan covers the essentials: document builder, e-signatures, payment collection, and up to 5 active events and 5 custom templates.
The Pro plan removes those limits and adds automated reminders, AI-powered document review, AI pricing intelligence, and full document branding controls including custom fonts and hero images.
Founding Member Rates
If you signed up during the founding member period, your discounted rate is locked in for as long as your subscription stays active. You can change plans and still keep the founding discount — switching from founding Basic to founding Pro moves you to $23/month, not the standard $39.
The only way to lose the founding rate is to cancel your subscription entirely. If you cancel and resubscribe later, standard pricing applies.
Upgrading Your Plan
- Navigate to Settings in the left sidebar
- Select the Billing tab
- Click Manage Subscription
This opens the Stripe billing portal where you can switch to a higher plan. The change takes effect immediately, and you are prorated for the remainder of your current billing cycle — you only pay the difference for the days left in the month.
Downgrading Your Plan
The process is the same: Settings > Billing > Manage Subscription. When you downgrade, the change takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You keep Pro features until the period you already paid for runs out.
If you are over the Basic plan limits when the downgrade kicks in (more than 5 active events or 5 custom templates), your existing data is not deleted. You just cannot create new events or templates beyond the limit until you are back under it.
Updating Payment Method
To update your credit card or switch to a different payment method:
- Go to Settings > Billing
- Click Manage Subscription
- In the Stripe billing portal, click Update payment method
You can also update your billing email and view past invoices from the same portal.
Cancelling
If you need to cancel, go to Settings > Billing > Manage Subscription and select the cancel option in the Stripe portal. Your account remains accessible through the end of your paid period.
Cancelling does not delete your data. If you come back later, everything is still there — events, documents, signed contracts. You just need to resubscribe to access full features again.
Viewing Invoices
All invoices are available in the Stripe billing portal. Go to Settings > Billing > Manage Subscription and you will find a full history of charges and receipts.
